The Mini Art Gallery is a creative, outdoor public art box — much like a little free library — designed to inspire connection, reflection, and self-expression in our local community.
Located in Herring Cove, this box invites all passersby to:
There is no right or wrong way to participate. Whether you leave a doodle, a quote, a postcard, or a painted stone, your expression matters.
Art is a universal language.
It speaks across barriers of age, background, and ability.
In every brushstroke, scribble, or story, art helps us say what words cannot. It connects us — not by similarity, but by humanity. In a world where division can feel heavy, this initiative is a reminder that we are all creative beings, and that every voice — including yours — deserves space.
1. Open the gallery box and explore
Find something that catches your eye. Take it with you.
2. Contribute your own piece
It can be big or small — a drawing, collage, poem, or found object.
3. Scan the QR code on the box

I’m Gabriella Rizkallah, a Registered Counselling Therapist and art therapist behind Nova Scotian Art Therapy. I work from a neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed perspective to support mental wellness through creativity.
As a Lebanese-Canadian mother of three who grew up with learning differences, I know how powerful creative expression can be for those who struggle to find their voice in traditional ways. Art has been my bridge to connection — and this project is an extension of that belief.
